Long Creek Park

Long Creek Park is located 5 miles north of Crosby in the Crosby Country Club. Long Creek Park has a large pavilion for family gatherings, weddings, reunions, and more. While you are there make sure to dig your feet into the sand and play a little sand volleyball. The sand volleyball court offers hours of fun. Need a break? Have a seat with your team in the pavilion to cool down.

History

Long Creek Park was deeded to the Park District on March 8th, 1932 by owner of the land Angus Black. Angus Black moved to Crosby from Fort William, Ontario and took up homestead in 1902. He quickly became immersed in the Meat Market business and later became associated with Mr. C.E. Halter. Together they started Halter and Black. Mr. Black was known as a public spirited citizen and during his residency in Crosby was identified with its municipal affairs and general business.
